IHEDN-CESD : Climate change and security

Organised as part of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), the course entitled "Climate Change and Security" opened today in Brussels with a speech by Lieutenant General Destremeau, Director of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Défense Nationale (IHEDN).

IHEDN-CESD-Climate change and security

Prepared and run by the IHEDN's Department of Europe and International Affairs (DEAI), in partnership with the German think-tank adelphi, this year's session will include only around 15 participants, in order to ensure the strict application of health measures relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. The course, which will alternate a rich programme of presentations, round tables and innovative interactive exercises (using IT tools to ensure social distancing), will be held over three days in the heart of the European capital.

Hosted by the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), the "Climate change and security" course has started on this morning with an opening speech of lieutenant general Destremeau, director of Institute for Higher National Defence Studies (IHEDN).
Held by the Department of Europe and International Affairs of IHEDN, together with the German think-tank adelphi, this session has been reduced to 15 participants in order to ensure the strict application of sanitary measures in the COVID context. This course, which will be alternately composed of presentations, rounds table and innovative and interactive exercises (with computer tools allowing to keep social distance) will last three days in the European capital.
