From 23 to 25 March, under the aegis of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), the IHEDN Europe and International Affairs Department organised a course on the challenges of space for the European Union and the CSDP (Challenges of Space for the European Union & CSDP). This training course brought together 39 participantsThe course was attended by civil and military officials from the Member States of the European Union, as well as from a number of European institutions and agencies. The course programme was structured around 11 lectures and round tables, with 24 speakers taking part.
Daniel FIOTT, an expert on European security and defence issues at the EUISS_EU Institute for Security Studies, brought the course to a close with a speech on the theme of "European Security and Defence Policy". The Future Challenges for a Renewed European Space Strategy. Last but not least, participants were able to hear Thomas REITER, astronaut with the European Space Agency (ESA), give a talk on the subject of "The future of space". keynote speech on European space cooperation in the field (European Space Cooperation on the Ground).
