Renaud de Cortaborn on in Paris, died on in Saint-Mandéwas a French general officer and companion of the Liberation.
Infantry officer to the Free French forces, Renaud de Corta took part in the Free French battles and particularly distinguished himself during the Eritrea campaign, then in Syria, then at El Alamein; he took part in the landings in Italy and Provence, and in the campaign to liberate France. Wounded four times, he was a companion of the Liberation and received several commendations.
He then served in Indochina, North Africa, on international, national and ministerial staffs. He became a Lieutenant General.
