Closing of the 32nd European Session of Senior Armament Officials

Friday 15 October sees the end of the second week of the 32nd edition of the European Motor Show in Brussels.e European Armaments Managers Session organised by the Direction de l'Armement Belge, in partnership with IHEDN.

The week was punctuated by conferences and round tables on a wide range of subjects including European Defence Fund and research and innovation. The latter enabled the auditors to deepen their reflections during committee work on export-related issues.

The week also provided an opportunity to take stock of the strength of the Belgian defence industrial and technological base, through visits to internationally renowned manufacturers (SABCA, John Cockerill, FN Herstal) and the presentation of dynamic and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises grouped together in the Belgian Security and Defence industry (BSDi) network.

The auditors will have another opportunity to exchange ideas during a week in the Czech Republic in November before presenting their work at the Ecole Militaire in December this year.

The second week of the 32nd European Session for Armament Representatives, organized by the Belgian Armament Directorate, together with IHEDN, ended on Friday October 15th in Brussels. Conferences and panels on various topics like innovation or the European Defence Fund gave food for thought during the committee sessions organized on issues related to export. This week also gave the opportunity to look at the vitality of the Belgian technological and industrial defence base through the visit of worldwide companies (SABCA, John Cockerill, FN Herstal) and also thanks to the presentation of many small and medium-sized dynamic and innovative enterprises gathered within the Belgian Security and Defence industry (BSDi).

SERA's auditors will meet again in Czech Republic in November before presenting their work in December this year at the Military School in Paris.
