80 young people between the ages of 20 and 30, students and young professionals, all passionate about security and defence issues, met in Nantes on 4 July 2022 to follow the 131e cycle IHEDN-jeunes.

For 6 days, they will benefit from high-level conferences on strategic issues, conflicts, international cooperation and defence. Divided into 6 committees, they are also required to work on 3 different themes to produce, by the end of the week, a position paper that they will present orally on the closing day of the cycle on Saturday 9 July.

On the opening day, the Lieutenant General Benoît DurieuxDirector of the IHEDN, addressed the audience. After presenting the IHEDN's missions and the 4 circles of the institute's field of analysis and therefore of the youth cycle (military defence, national defence, national security, international security), he congratulated the young auditors on their commitment.
