Africa, the next caliphate? The spectacular expansion of jihadism

In this book, the author analyses the factors behind the successful expansion of jihadist groups in Africa over the last twenty years, and the dramatic consequences for local populations. He argues that jihadists offer solutions to local communities by capitalising on deep post-colonial resentment and abandonment on the part of corrupt elites who are indifferent to their plight.
