In the 2023 edition of the annual report on the control of foreign investment in France (IEF), the Treasury's Directorate General assesses the control policy for 2022. IEF control activity remained stable in 2022, with 325 cases submitted to the Treasury's Directorate General, compared with 328 in 2021. 131 investment transactions within the scope of the IEF decree were authorised. 53 % of these 131 transactions were subject to conditions designed to protect national interests.
