On 14 June 2023, Germany adopted its first National Security Strategy. This document analyses the threats and sets out the country's strategic priorities. It promotes an "integrated security" policy that goes beyond defence to include diplomacy, development, cyber security and supply chain resilience. Against the backdrop of a historic turning point (Zeitenwende), Germany is striving to build robust, resilient and sustainable security.
