The rapidly changing geopolitical context, the changing forms of conflict and the transformation of societies call for greater openness in strategic thinking. The creation of the ACADEM is a response to this need.
The twenty or so research, higher education and doctrine bodies that the École Militaire brings together in the fields of defence and national security constitute a unique group in Europe. The aim of ACADEM is to make this a more integrated platform for exchange, open to all those interested in strategy or war studies, and an incubator for thinking on an international scale.
