Lyon hosts a course in Economic and Strategic Intelligence

The 82nd Cycle in Economic and Strategic Intelligence (IES) is taking place for the first time in Lyon, from 28 November to 6 December.

In order to adapt its training to the regions, IHEDN has teamed up with local partners, including: the Regional Directorates for the Economy, Employment, Labour and Solidarity; the National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI) and the Lyon Academic School for Continuing Education.

The programme includes 49 hours of lectures on the key themes of international competition, such as economic security, monitoring and OSINT, cybersecurity, influence and lobbying, and compliance.

This exciting course, which brings together experts from both the public and private sectors, consists of : 

  • a presentation of the government departments responsible for combating interference and defending our economic interests (the Defence Intelligence and Security Directorate, the General Directorate for External Security, the General Directorate for Internal Security, the Strategic Information and Economic Security Department, the National Agency for Information Systems Security, the French Anti-Corruption Agency).

 

  • an introduction to economic and strategic intelligence

 

  • familiarisation with OSINT monitoring tools and awareness of France's digital sovereignty

 

  • an understanding of the challenges of influence and lobbying

 

  • familiarisation with compliance, extraterritoriality and the fight against corruption through powerful and concrete accounts of economic confrontation manoeuvres
