On the eve of the launch of the recruitment campaign for the 4e National Session 2024-2025, to promote and raise awareness of the Institute among the 1,800 visitors and participants at the event (a record for the 18e edition of the Assises). The "Maritime Issues and Strategies" (ESM) team was on hand throughout the two days, taking the opportunity to renew contacts with students from previous sessions, who were always happy to return to IHEDN. Around 80 people came to Nantes for this key event in the blue economy!
The event also provided an opportunity to raise the profile of IHEDN among representatives of the French overseas regions and territories. Vice-Admiral (2S) Franck Baduel, head of the ESM major, met with several of them to present the system that has been in place since the start of the 3e national session, which enabled six auditors from these territories to join the ESM major. The presence of one of the current auditors, from Polynesia, facilitated contact and promotion of IHEDN among representatives of these territories.
So it was with particularly positive results that the ESM major returned to Paris at the end of the event.
