Who are we?
Institute for Advanced Studies in National Defence
The Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) is a national public administrative body under the supervision of the Prime Minister and, more specifically, of the Secrétariat général à la défense et à la sécurité nationale (SGDSN).
The Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) prepares leaders from all spheres of activity to assume the highest responsibilities by developing their understanding of national defence and security issues, their knowledge of related public policies, their perception of the interplay of players involved in their implementation, and their aptitude for strategic thinking. The training provided as part of the national session is designed to enable all students to grasp from the outset the cross-sectoral, interdisciplinary, interministerial, European and international dimensions of defence and security issues through a common foundation and in-depth study of 5 major areas (Armament and the Defence Economy, Economic Defence and Security, Maritime Issues and Strategies, Defence Policy, Digital Sovereignty and Cybersecurity).
The IHEDN, working to build and disseminate a common defence culture, helps to forge lasting links between senior public and private, civilian and military officials.
Job description
Main activities
Responsible for teaching projects in the "Digital Sovereignty and Cybersecurity" major within the national session (75%)
- under the responsibility of the Head of Major, help to draw up the programme of conferences and committee work, in liaison with the Operational Manager. He/she drafts the relevant deliverables,
- contribute to the pedagogical and administrative monitoring of lecturers in conjunction with the general secretariat,
- ensure that training programmes are put in place, in conjunction with the quality consultant,
- suggest topics for committee work, in conjunction with any specifiers and the Studies and Research Department,
- compile/edit teaching dossiers for the major's activities (themed seminar dossiers)
- organising and feeding the digital training platform by compiling thematic dossiers, and disseminating educational information for the benefit of students,
- assisting auditors with their work during training trips to France and abroad,
- organising and taking part in the presentation of the auditors' work,
- use auditors' feedback on teaching content and suggest changes with a view to continuous improvement,
- propose expert advisors.
Project management support for the CNS major (25%)
Working closely with the operational manager, the SNC major's educational project manager will contribute to :
- organising session management activities to support the project managers, particularly during peak periods (seminars and other training activities),
- supervising auditors and supporting them in carrying out exercises, with the support of operational project managers,
- communication for the session.
As an educational project manager in the National Session department
He/she is involved in drawing up the programme of common core activities and inter-major activities, and in organising and supervising these activities;
It is involved in coordinating the educational aspects of the majors within the national session;
It may be entrusted with cross-cutting missions for the benefit of the national session and the department in this field.
Profile required
Master 2 in human and social sciences from a university or Institut d'Etudes Politiques.
Humanities & Law - Multidisciplinary specialisms, Humanities & Law - Sciences (including demography, anthropology, history, law, political science, etc.).
