The first edition of the \"European Advanced Strategic Course\" in security and defence comes to a close on 11 June 2021 at the Ecole Militaire.<\/p>

This pan-European course, organised for the first time in 2020-2021 by the IHEDN in conjunction with the Bundes Akademie f\u00fcr Sicherheitspolitik (BAKS) for Germany, the Royal Institute for Defence Studies (IRSD) and the Egmont Institute for Belgium, under the aegis of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), includes a series of three modules in Brussels, Berlin and Paris devoted to European defence policy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

This third module, organised by the Institut des Hautes \u00c9tudes de D\u00e9fense Nationale, brought together 12 high-level civilian and military participants representing several EU Member States, think-tanks, European Union institutions and the defence industry over two and a half days in Paris. Some fifteen French and European speakers took the floor on subjects such as the EU's strategic autonomy and its geopolitical role in the world, defence innovation and research, analysis of the changing threats to Europe and EU-NATO cooperation, leading to particularly fruitful exchanges on these crucial issues. This pan-European course, organised for the first time this year by the IHEDN jointly with the Bundes Akademie f\u00fcr Sicherheitspolitik (BAKS) for Germany, the Royal Institute for Defence Studies (IRSD) and the Egmont Institute for Belgium, under the aegis of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), is a three module training, held in Brussels, Berlin and Paris, all dedicated to European defence policy. <\/em><\/p>

This third module, organized by the Institute for higher national defense studies together with the European Security and Defense College, has gathered in Paris during two and a half days 12 high-level civilian and military auditors, representing several EU Member States, think-tanks, European Union institutions and the defense industry. Some fifteen French and European speakers have intervened to discuss strategic topics such as the EU's strategic autonomy and its geopolitical role in the world, innovation and research in the field of defence, the evolution of threats and the EU-NATO cooperation, allowing fruitful exchanges on these crucial issues.
