Listeners to 226e<\/sup> session in the Hauts-de-France region of the IHEDN went to the SDIS headquarters in Oise where they were welcomed by Comptroller General Luc CORACK<\/span><\/strong>Director of the Oise Departmental Fire and Rescue Service and Head of the Departmental Fire Brigade, and his deputy, Colonel Mohammed KHARRAZ<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>

The auditors were then able to visit the alert processing centre and the operational centre. The 226e<\/sup> session in the Hauts-de-France region continues in Amiens. This second week is being run as a boarding school, which will enable the students to strengthen their cohesion and delve more deeply into the committee topics on which they are working.<\/p>

After a conference on the Defence budget (LPM, challenges, constraints and innovations) given by the Controller General of the Armed Forces Jean COCHET-TERRASSON<\/span><\/strong>The auditors visited the AIRBUS ATLANTIC site in M\u00e9aulte, which specialises in the production of nose fuselages for the entire Airbus range (A318 to A400M). They were welcomed by the site manager, Mr Thierry MASSE<\/span><\/strong>. Listeners were then given a tour of the A350 (composite technology) and A320 (semi-automated assembly line) assembly lines.<\/p>

The following day, a memorial sequence was organised at the Sir John Monash Interpretation Centre in Villers-Bretonneux, which pays tribute to the Australian soldiers who fought and died in the 1st World War.re <\/sup>war, in particular to repel the German offensive on Amiens in the spring of 1918. The marching conference of Professor Bernard PHAN<\/span><\/strong> put these feats of arms into perspective in relation to the many operations that set in motion the counter-offensive that led to victory.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Back in Amiens, listeners met with Mr Nicolas DUMONT<\/span><\/strong>They were briefed on the challenges facing France as a result of this major project, which will open up a navigable waterway between the Seine and the Benelux river network. The rest of the week promises to be just as exciting, with visits to Creil Air Force Base 110 and the SDIS headquarters in Beauvais, as well as committee work and high-level conferences.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Listeners to 226e<\/sup> session in the Hauts-de-France region were honoured to be received by the Prefect of Aisne, Thomas Campeaux<\/span><\/strong>The event took place in the rooms of the H\u00f4tel de Pr\u00e9fecture, housed in the former Saint-Jean de Laon abbey.<\/p>

In his speech, he stressed the importance of national cohesion, to which the IHEDN sessions contribute. It enables us to cope better in times of crisis.<\/p>

Lectures were given on the changing nature of conflict and France's defence strategy. They were also able to visit the Urban Action Training Centre (CENZUB-94e<\/sup> RI<\/span><\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>

The 226e<\/sup> session of the IHEDN in the Hauts-de-France region was opened in Laon by Sub-prefect Jean-Michel Delvert<\/span><\/strong>Head of Regional and Specialised Activities. He represented Lieutenant General Beno\u00eet Durieux<\/span><\/strong>Director of IHEDN. The Mayor of Laon, Mr Eric Delhaye<\/strong><\/span> and the Chief of Staff of the Prefect of Aisne, Mr Sub-prefect J\u00e9r\u00f4me Malet<\/span><\/strong>honoured the audience with their presence.<\/p>

The programme for the session, which is being run by General 2S Thierry Dapsens<\/strong><\/span>The course will take them to 4 towns in the Hauts-de-France region: Laon, Amiens, Dunkirk and Lille.
