the IHEDN forum on the African continent (FICA) ended on Saturday 18 June 2022 with the traditional presentation of diplomas in the presence of the President of the IHEDN. <strong><span style=\"color: #034b7b;\">Lieutenant General Beno\u00eet Durieux<\/span><\/strong>Director of the Institut des hautes \u00e9tudes de d\u00e9fense nationale and the <strong><span style=\"color: #034b7b;\">General Marchand<\/span><\/strong>Director of the Directorate for Security and Defence Cooperation (DCSD) at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6adfed0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"6adfed0\" class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Over the course of a whole week, some fifty high-level African civilian and military participants from 40 countries (French, English and Portuguese-speaking) and one regional organisation (the African Union) took part in twelve lectures on the theme of \"New Conflicts, New Partnerships\". These talks addressed major issues affecting the African continent, such as security instability, food and energy insecurity, the other consequences of the conflict in Ukraine, piracy and foreign influences on the continent.
