In <em>Tehran-Washington 1979-2025. The Great Satan put to the test by the Islamic Revolution<\/em>, Cl\u00e9ment Therme looks back at the history and causes of the rifts between the two countries, analysing their respective points of view. His approach is not limited to diplomacy, but also explores the cultural, academic, religious and sporting links between American and Iranian society, shedding light on the dynamics at work in the Middle East today.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-829f294 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"829f294\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Cl\u00e9ment Therme has a doctorate in the history of international relations and is a research associate at IFRI (Turkey\/Middle East programme) and EHESS (CETOBaC). He is also a lecturer at the Universit\u00e9 Paul-Val\u00e9ry in Montpellier. His research focuses on Iranian foreign policy and geopolitical dynamics in the Middle East. He is the author of several books, including <em>Iran and its rivals. Between nation and revolution<\/em> (Pass\u00e9s Compos\u00e9s, 2020), <em>Preconceived ideas about Iran.
