Registration is now open for the new 2021 national session of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de la D\u00e9fense Nationale (IHEDN). This year's auditors will benefit from renewed training that will enable them to grasp new defence and security issues.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The new 2021 national session of the IHEDN is designed to meet the professional requirements of active senior managers. \"denser, more flexible and more interactive\".<\/i> explains the Institute, which, in a new context, intends to renew its training courses, which are already highly appreciated by the civil-military world.<\/p>

Still focusing on strategic analysis of defence and security issues, the new national session this year places greater emphasis on the time devoted to debate between lecturers (always high-level) and students, as well as between students themselves. In addition to this more academic teaching, students will be able to take part in crisis management exercises (serious games). This year's new session also includes a common core of training that will be broken down into five major areas*. The idea is to \"to promote the decompartmentalisation of thinking on cross-cutting defence and security issues\".<\/i>. This common base should enable \"understand from the outset the cross-sectoral, interdisciplinary and interdepartmental dimension of defence and security issues\".<\/i>of \"Promote a better understanding of the main European and international issues\".<\/i>of \"Encourage shared reflection on cross-disciplinary issues such as digital transformation, climate change, migration and pandemic threats.<\/i> stresses the IHEDN. This common foundation should also enable auditors to \"engage in strategic reflection on the coordinated ways and means of responding to complex challenges\".<\/i> and \"Forge a common defence culture, based on unity of thought and action\".<\/i>. Finally, the aim of this common base is to \"prepare all our auditors to work and act together to strengthen national cohesion and extend their commitment to the defence and security of the country over the long term\".<\/i> insists the IHEDN.<\/p>

This common foundation, broken down into five specific majors*, should make it possible to meet the precise expectations of prescribers, as well as the need of auditors recruited on the basis of their interests and specific skills to go into greater depth. These modules are also there to enhance the acquired experience of high-level auditors, \"by offering them the opportunity to put their expertise at the service of overall strategic thinking\".<\/i>.<\/p>

Registration for the 2021 session is now open. Candidates can register directly online on the IHEDN website until 28 February. Selection interviews will be held from March to June. \u25a0<\/p>
