3e module of the European Strategic Course for Security and Defence

Tuesday 30 May saw the opening of the third module of the European Advanced Strategic Course on Security and Defence, organised by the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN), in partnership with the Italian Centre for Advanced Defence Studies (Centro Alti Studi per la difesa), as part of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).

Tuesday 30 May saw the opening of the third module in the European session on security and defence. " European Advanced Strategic Course on Security and Defence ", organised by the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Défense Nationale (IHEDN), in partnership with the Italian Centre for Advanced Defence Studies (Centro Alti Studi per la difesa), as part of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).

This module is a pan-European training course in the service of a shared ambition, and the wish expressed by the President of the French Republic, to form a common strategic culture capable of developing Europe's strategic autonomy and sovereignty. The various conferences, led by speakers with a wide range of expertise, will focus over the three days on the challenges to common security at European and NATO level, and their possible solutions.

This course brings together high-level students from European Union member states. This new training concept is a necessary contribution to tomorrow's defence in Europe. The seminar was opened by Mr David Cvach Director for the European Union at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, with a degree in economics. opening speech on How can Europe defend its interests in a climate of emerging threats?

The following conferences focused on the challenges of transatlantic security and the EU's neighbourhood.

3rd European Advanced Strategic Course on Security and Defence

On Tuesday May 30 was held the opening of the third module of the " European Advanced Strategic Course on Security and Defence, organized by the Institute for higher national defence studies (Centre des hautes études de défense nationale), in partnership with the Italian Centre for Advanced Defence Studies (Centro Alti Studi per la difesa), as part of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).

This module is a pan-European training program designed to meet a shared ambition, and the wish expressed by the President of the French Republic, to create a common strategic culture capable of achieving European strategic autonomy and sovereignty. Over the course of three days, the conferences, led by speakers from different fields, will address the challenges to common security at both European and NATO level, as well as their possible solutions.

The course brings together high-level participants from EU member states. This new training concept is a necessary contribution to torromow's defence. The opening speech was given by Mr David Cvach Director for European Affairs, Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs on How can Europe defend its interests in a climate of emerging threats?  The next presentations focused on Common transatlantic security challenges and EU's neighbourhood.
