Sessions INTERNATIONAL ARMAMENTS AND DEFENCE ECONOMICS
IHEDN organises international "Armament and the Defence Economy" sessions every year, in close cooperation with the French Ministry of Defence's Directorate General for Armaments (DGA). These sessions are organised alternately for specific geographical areas (Africa and the Middle East, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, Latin America, Asia-Pacific), according to a calendar drawn up each year.
The aim of these international sessions is to promote influence and influence. They contribute to the sharing of practices and experiences on issues relating to armaments and the acquisition of defence equipment, between French institutional and industrial representatives and the auditors, high-level civilian and military representatives from their respective countries, selected to take part in these sessions.
The programme is based around conferences, organised in accordance with the Chatham House Rule, and visits to military and industrial sites. The confidential nature of the discussions and debates helps to strengthen mutual understanding not only of defence issues but also of French and European positions.
