Scientific prizes
Thesis, Master's 2 dissertation and special prize
The aim of the scientific prizes awarded by the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) is to highlight research into defence, security, international relations and foreign policy issues in disciplines as diverse as anthropology, political science, economics, sociology, law, history, geography and philosophy.
They also foster links between IHEDN and the academic world.
Since 1998, they have been awarded each year to Masters II and PhD researchers whose work, defended during the year, advances knowledge in the humanities and social sciences. For the 2025 edition, a new category, the "Special Prize", will also be awarded for a scientific article or a chapter in a collective work.
