Le Lt-Gen Benoît Durieux, Director of IHEDNOn 9 March this year, the Chairman of the Board of Directors chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors.
This Council was an opportunity for him to present to the Institute's partners all the major strategic orientations as well as all the training courses (national session, sessions in the regions and short cycles, international activities) provided by the IHEDN.
An initial positive assessment was made of the new 2021-2022 national session, which resulted from the reform of the Institute carried out in 2020. The aim was to break down the barriers between courses by creating a common foundation of knowledge and awareness of the major strategic issues affecting national defence. On this basis, the GCA Durieux has outlined the next national session 2022-2023, which will consolidate this decompartmentalisation by increasing the space devoted to the common core and joint activities between majors.
Le Préfet Conus, Deputy Director of IHEDNFor his part, the Chairman of the Board was delighted with the increase in the number of applications, both in terms of quality and quantity. He praised the commitment of IHEDN's partners and expressed the Institute's gratitude for the renewed confidence they place in it each year.
