The new space rush is not without risks for our societies. Orbits are becoming increasingly crowded, new space entrepreneurs have become major players in the launcher market and have begun to deploy constellations of satellites, and the backdrop is the militarisation of space.

How can France and Europeans secure their access to space, Earth observation technologies and communications at a time when space is becoming the theatre of new forms of conflict?
