Institute for Advanced Studies in National Defence
The Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) is a national public administrative body under the supervision of the Prime Minister and, more specifically, of the Secrétariat général à la défense et à la sécurité nationale (SGDSN).
The Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) prepares leaders from all spheres of activity to assume the highest responsibilities by developing their understanding of national defence and security issues, their knowledge of related public policies, their perception of the interplay of players involved in their implementation, and their aptitude for strategic thinking. The training provided as part of the national session is designed to enable all students to grasp from the outset the cross-sectoral, interdisciplinary, interministerial, European and international dimensions of defence and security issues through a common foundation and in-depth study of 5 major areas (Armament and the Defence Economy, Economic Defence and Security, Maritime Issues and Strategies, Defence Policy, Digital Sovereignty and Cybersecurity).
The IHEDN, working to build and disseminate a common defence culture, helps to forge lasting links between senior public and private, civilian and military officials.
Job description
Working in tandem with the digital project manager.
Apprenticeship digital project managers are assigned tasks and files based on their skills and progress in their academic course. They work under the close supervision of their tutor to achieve the objectives set.
The apprentice digital project manager will therefore support the DRIC in the following areas as and when required:
Website management (WordPress)
- Regular site updates via WordPress + Elementor,
- Integration of content (texts, visuals, videos) linked to the structure's news,
- Suggestions for enriched formats (animations, interactive blocks, dynamic visuals),
- Application of basic SEO best practice,
- Newsletter layout via Oximailing.
Shooting and visual production
- Photographs and videos for internal events,
- Image processing, simple editing, video subtitling,
- Archiving and management of visual content,
- Occasional support for the creation of visuals for the website or institutional media.
Support for social networking
- Occasional participation in updating the editorial calendar
- Support for the publication of visual or video content if required.
Profile required
Position open to students in the process of obtaining a Master I/II or equivalent in the field of digital, visual communication, photography or graphic design.
A portfolio or examples of work will be appreciated.

- Team spirit and good communication skills,
- Proactive problem-solving,
- A keen interest in defence-related subjects and an understanding of the civil-military context.
Know-how
- Proficiency in the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.),
- Good experience with WordPress (Elementor),
- Good knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS and SEO.
Knowledge
Fluency in a foreign language (English or other) is an asset.
