Opening of the 70th "economic and strategic intelligence" course

Friday 2 October 2020 saw the start of the 70e economic and strategic intelligence (IES) course. The course was opened by Préfet Denis Conus, Deputy Director of the IHEDN.

The opening speech on economic and strategic intelligence was given by Mr Bernard Besson. Public policy on national and territorial security was presented by both the Strategic Information and Economic Security Department (SISSE) of the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, and the Ministry of the Interior. Participants in the IES course will spend 7 days (49 hours) learning about strategic intelligence, how to make the most of strategic information, cybersecurity, the challenges of the digital transformation of organisations, economic security, strategies of influence and the system for controlling foreign investment in France. They will also work on the fight against corruption, compliance and the overall security and safety of companies.
