SIAMO - POLDEF
Created in 2005, SIAMO brings together some forty high-level auditors from various countries in Asia and the Middle East, as well as from regional organisations. Each invited country is represented by one auditor from the armed forces or security forces and one auditor from civil society.
Objectives
- Discover the French approach to the acquisition of military equipment through an in-depth study of a given theme
- Training in the French defence procurement process
- Get to know the French defence industry and share French expertise in the design, development and production of defence systems with a view to a constructive procurement dialogue.
- Promoting the emergence and consolidation of a privileged cooperation network with a view to confident trade in the area
Target groups
Senior civilian and military officials, representatives of civil society and local organisations: politicians, military personnel, weapons engineers, entrepreneurs, directors of research institutes, etc.

The aim of the committee work is to brainstorm and draw up a report and position paper for high-level government decision-makers.
On completion of their training, auditors are admitted to the Auditors' Association and have access rights to a sharing platform (reports, etc.).
