Débat stratégique - octobre

Whilst President Donald Trump regularly displays a certain indifference towards the law, his administration cannot completely disregard it, lest it lose legitimacy and undermine its own political agenda. Far from ignoring it, the US executive strategically uses the law to achieve its ends. This book is devoted to these strategic uses of the law – or ‘lawfare’ – following an investigation into the Department of Justice. Tracing events back to 11 September 2001, the author sets out to show how US administrations have instrumentalised the law, turning it into a weapon of national security.
