12 December 2015: the Paris climate agreement is signed... Four years on, many questions remain unanswered: will the targets set be met? In concrete terms, when can we expect a shift in investment towards low-carbon energy? Is it possible today to draw up a picture of the possible futures of the Paris Agreement?
Patrice Geoffron, Professor of Economics at Paris Dauphine University and Director of the Centre de Géopolitique de l'Energie et des Matières Premières (Centre for the Geopolitics of Energy and Raw Materials), asks himself and us: how can we grasp the strategic challenges of energy in 2050?
The economic challenge, the climate challenge, the security challenge... it's all interlinked and all connected.
