In the first week, listeners explored the major strategic balances in place today: an overview of national defence, analysis of the contemporary world in a time of polycrisis, financing the defence industrial and technological base, influence and information warfare. Visits to Thales, ArianeGroup and Taverny air base 921 rounded off this first sequence.
The second week was devoted to gaining a practical understanding of the French military, both in terms of the armed forces and the defence system. The auditors went to Toulon for an immersion in the heart of the forces. Presentation of the three armies, the French nuclear deterrence strategy, discovery of the naval base, Orange Marine (submarine cables), the 1er foreign cavalry regiment and the 54e artillery regiment, as well as the amphibious helicopter carrier (PHA) Tonnerre.
Back in Paris for the third week, the students studied international cooperation and conflict, looking in depth at France's politico-military role in NATO, the conflict in Ukraine and China's strategic ambitions. The links between agriculture, climate and security in Africa were also studied. Visits to the Groupement blindé de gendarmerie mobile, Villacoublay air base 107 and the Paris-Champerret fire brigade were also organised.

The session ended with a week of reflection on crisis management and territorial protection, illustrating the coordination of players in crisis situations: action by counter-terrorism services, the role of intelligence, interventions by the Protection Judiciaire de la Jeunesse (Youth Judicial Protection), the Joint Staff of the Metropolitan National Territory (EMIA TN), General François Lecointre, Grand Chancellor of the Legion of Honour, and the Military Governor of Paris, General Loïc Mizon. Visits to the SNCF Group and the Paris Police Headquarters rounded off this final week..
The session concluded with the presentation of diplomas, marking the official entry of the auditors into the IHEDN community.
