Banks and the Defence Industry" training cycle

On 11 May, the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) will hold its first Banking and Defence Industries training course at the Ecole militaire, in partnership with the Fédération bancaire française (FBF) and the Groupement des industries françaises de défense et de sécurité terrestres et aéroterrestres (GICAT).

The decision to set up this short, one-day course was taken following the "Banks and the Defence Industry" seminar organised by IHEDN on 18 January 2022, in line with one of the recommendations of the flash mission conducted by the National Assembly in September 2021.

This course will enable participants to :

  • Understand the new challenges facing the defence industry in the light of the latest geopolitical developments;
  • Develop their knowledge of the legal framework and banking and insurance tools specific to defence industry activities, and in particular export activities;
  • Strengthen exchanges between defence players, manufacturers and representatives of the banking and insurance sectors.
