The DSE major at Mont-Verdun
On 21 April, the Air Defence and Air Operations Command (CDAOA), based at Mont-Verdun near Lyon, welcomed a small delegation of auditors from the 1re Defence and Economic Security (DSE) major.
The auditors were given a very warm welcome and were very interested in the various presentations they were given, in particular on the national air operations centre (CNOA), which ensures the protection of the French in the context of air safety, but also by visiting CAPCO, the air operations planning and control centre, which plans and coordinates all air operations in France, overseas and abroad (Sahel in particular).
Finally, a visit to COSMOS, the operational centre for military surveillance of space objects, which is responsible for permanent surveillance of outer space, where airmen study the trajectories of thousands of satellites orbiting overhead and space debris, met the expectations of the DSE auditors.
