The 3rd Prix des Imaginaires stratégiques hits newsstands this month.

The 3e Imaginaires stratégiques prize awarded to Lydie AUTHIER for "A la fin, c'est la nuit qui gagne" will be published in issue 161 of the magazine ISD September-October.

This short story describes how the cohesion of a close-knit group collapses when it is subjected to severe insecurity. The jury rewarded an effective storyline that highlights the need to master cyber risks.

"The alarm blares, breaking the muted monotony of the morning. The shutters close automatically, immediately covered by the burglar-proof armoured metal shell. Exterior accesses and room doors are electronically locked. Presence detectors are on the lookout for any movement. The system worked this time; no damage to be deplored. Everyone is trapped in their rooms, waiting to be released. The school is as inviolable as a safe. Teachers, pupils, staff: all stoically awaiting the announcement of the end of the alert. As sensitive areas, schools are regularly the target of real or staged threats. Everyone knows by heart what to do during the long minutes of the alert.
The lights suddenly go out. The room is plunged into darkness. The wave jammers crackled in the perplexed silence of the buildings. So it wasn't an exercise.
