Third edition
The FID will take place from 25 to 27 November 2021 at the Espace Champerret in Paris (17th arrondissement). November 25 and 26 will be reserved for professionals, while November 27 will be open to the general public.
A showcase for defence innovation, it will bring together all the ministerial players and all the players in the defence innovation ecosystem to discuss the best projects supported by the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
Three years after the creation of the Defence Innovation Agency (DIA), the FID will be showcasing the actions undertaken and the products and services created for the benefit of the Ministry's forces and users.
FID 2021 is :
An exhibition village presenting around a hundred technological, operational and managerial innovation projects, illustrating the diversity of areas in which the Ministry is innovating;
The exhibition village will be organised into 6 areas:
MAKING YOUR SENSE : winning the war before the war
SUPPORT : supporting the fighter
ADAPTING : innovate to transform
IMAGINE : anticipating disruption
FEDERER : building together
60 years of innovation at DGA
A rich programme of conferences and round tables to fuel reflection and discussion on the major challenges of defence innovation, and to debate the Ministry's areas of interest, such as new energies, quantum technology, artificial intelligence, industrial design, new space, air-land robotics, etc;
A BtoB meeting place to facilitate meetings between innovation project leaders, industrial prime contractors, investors and defence professionals;
A pitch area for innovators from the Ministry of the Armed Forces, start-ups, SMEs, ETIs and students, where innovative approaches and projects will be presented;
An experience zone with demonstrations, an interactive rally, a hackathon, a cockpit of the future and immersion in the world of Red Team Defence;
A careers forum on the general public day on 27 November to recruit for the emblematic careers of the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
