Today, Monday 11 January 2021 saw the start of the 71e The Economic and Strategic Intelligence (IES) cycle is conducted entirely by videoconference.
The cycle was opened by Préfet Denis Conus, Deputy Director of the IHEDN. The opening speech on economic and strategic intelligence was given by Mr Bernard Besson. Public policy on national and territorial security was presented by both the Strategic Information and Economic Security Service (SISSE) of the Ministry of the Economy and Finance and the Ministry of the Interior (HFDS).
Participants in the IES course will spend 7 days (49 hours) learning about strategic intelligence, how to make the most of strategic information, cybersecurity, the challenges of the digital transformation of organisations, economic security, strategies of influence and the system for controlling foreign investment in France. They will also work on the fight against corruption, compliance and the overall security and safety of companies.
