After spreading out across France for their first cohesion activities, listeners to the 2e integrated national session came together in Paris to study the strategic context.
On Thursday 29 September, listeners were treated to Thomas GomartDirector of the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI), to discuss the major global players.
Guillaume LASCONJARIASDirector of Studies and Research at the IHEDN, then addressed the thorny issue of the assertion of power.
After an introduction to the prospective method of strategy development taught at the IHEDN and an initial committee work exercise, the auditors met at the end of the afternoon to discuss the following topics Guillaume PoupardDirector of the French National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI), to reflect on the major digital and cybersecurity issues.
The module ended with a speech by the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Pierre VANDIER to discuss with him the major defence and security issues at sea.
