La 221e session in the Grand-Est region this morning had the honour of receiving Lieutenant General Christian Bailly, Military Governor of Metz, General Officer of the Est defence and security zone, Commander of the Nord-Est land zone and Commander of the French forces and civilian component stationed in Germany.
The General was speaking at the session on the theme of "the role of the armed forces on national territory.
The conference gave listeners an insight into the issues involved in this commitment to national defence and security.
La 221e he regional session brings together 29 auditors, military and civilian executives, to reflect on security and defence issues. The session is now finishing its third week in Metz and will continue for a further two weeks in Strasbourg.
