the 226th session in the Hauts-de-France region at the Institut régional d'administration

Friday 15 April saw the closing session of the 226e session of the IHEDN in the Hauts-de-France region, at the Institut régional d'administration (IRA) in Lille, in the presence of the President of the IHEDN. Préfet délégué de zone de défense et de sécurité Nord Louis-Xavier Thiroderepresenting the regional prefect Lieutenant General Benoît Durieuxdirector of the IHEDN, the Major General Xavier d'AzemarGeneral Officer of the North Defence and Security Zone and the Director of the Lille IRA, Cécile Parent-Nutte.

The 31 auditors presented the reports of their committee work to the authorities present, before receiving their auditor's certificate.

During the last week organised in Lille, after Laon, Amiens and Dunkirk, they again benefited from high-level conferences. The week was also marked by visits to the regional headquarters of the Gendarmerie Nationale and the 41e Douai Signal Regiment. 

The third week of training for 226 IHEDN auditorse session in the Hauts-de-France region ended on Friday 8 April in Dunkirk.

A number of highlights punctuated the week in Dunkirk, including an exceptional tour of the Grand Port Maritime de Dunkerque with commentary by Mr Franck Gonssethe national general secretary of the CNTPA-CFDT dockworkers, and the presentation of the State's action at sea by the Dunkirk COMAR, in cooperation with the Gendarmerie maritime, Customs and the SNSM.

A lecture on the challenges facing the region was given by Mr Thibault DecruyenaereDeputy Regional Director of INSEE and Mrs Delphine LegliseDeputy Head of the Research and Dissemination Department.

visit to the Eurotunnel site at Coquelles

During a visit to the Eurotunnel site at Coquelles (62), French customs and border police (PAF) honoured listeners to 226e session in the Hauts-de-France region of the IHEDN, to present their missions and the coordination of the action of the services.

Members of the audience had the chance to visit the Channel Tunnel and see a number of demonstrations at the Eurotunnel site's "tourism" and "road freight" points: vehicle searches by dogs from the dog team, documentary checks by PAF officers and millimetre-wave scans of freight lorries.
