Long reluctant (along with Germany) to integrate Ukraine into NATO, France is now in favour. This change of heart can be explained by the fact that it is currently impossible to guarantee Ukraine neutrality between the EU and Russia, and that it can only be protected by membership of NATO. This article details the reasons for France's change of heart, as well as the previous positions of both the US and the various EU countries, and how they have evolved.
