IS AIMED AT HIGH-LEVEL MANAGERS LOOKING FOR ADDITIONAL SKILLS TO HELP THEM CARRY OUT THEIR STRATEGIC MISSIONS.
CHALLENGES
The maritimeisation of the world has a direct impact on human activity. Maritime routes have become the lifeblood of the global economy, and protecting them is a major strategic challenge. Seas and oceans are also areas of growing confrontation between nations, and areas of expansion for crime. Reservoirs of wealth, maritime and coastal areas are also impacted by the consequences of climate change.
OBJECTIVES
The 'Maritime Issues and Strategies' major is a top-quality course featuring some of the best practitioners and experts in their field. Students will be able to :
- deepen their knowledge of maritime areas and activities through a better understanding of the issues involved;
- Understand the complexity and globality of the issues at stake, which are marked by their interdepartmental and intersectoral dimension;
- acquire expertise in a wide range of defence and national security issues: oceanography, biology, fish stocks, minerals, energy, climate impact, etc. ;
- to gain a better understanding of the issues relating to our ultra-marine territory in terms of national security;
- develop skills in forward-looking analysis and acquire managerial expertise in collective thinking.

Approximately 30 days (210 hours)

Each year, the 'Maritime Issues and Strategies' major welcomes around 45 listeners.
