Jean-Baptiste JEANGENE VILMER
Director of the Institut de recherche stratégique de l'École militaire (IRSEM, Ministry of Defence) since 2016. He has also taught at Sciences Po's Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) since 2013. Trained in three disciplines - philosophy, law and political science (doctorate) - in France and abroad, he was previously in charge of 'transversal affairs and security' at the Centre d'analyse, de prévision et de stratégie (CAPS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development (2013-2016), and a Banting postdoctoral researcher at McGill University's Faculty of Law in Canada (2011-2013), Lecturer in the Department of War Studies at King's College London (2010-2011), senior research fellow at the ENS Ulm (2010), postgraduate fellow at the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale University in the United States (2008-2009), attaché at the French Embassy in Turkmenistan (2007-2008) and lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at the Université de Montréal (2004-2007).
Auditor of the 68e He is a member of the Defence Ethics Committee set up by the Minister of Defence in January 2020, an Honorary Alumnus of the NATO Defence College and a Non-Resident Senior Fellow of the Atlantic Council. He has received a number of awards, including the Marshal Foch Prize from the Académie Française, the Olivier Debouzy Prize, the Chancellerie de Paris Prize and the Munich Young Leader Award.
Catherine Jentile de Canecaude
A senior reporter specialising in conflict zones, mainly in the Middle East. Then correspondent in London, notably during the Brexit period, followed by 5 years in the United States, from the election of Donald Trump to that of Joe Biden.
