Africa and France face new threats
Tuesday 28 September 2021 saw the opening of the 21e session of the IHEDN Forum on the African continent, organised by the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Défense Nationale and the Directorate for Security and Defence Cooperation.
On this occasion, General de Corps d'Armée Benoît DURIEUXdirector of the Institute, and Lieutenant General Thierry MARCHANDThe session, which ran from 27 September to 5 October on the theme of "Africa and France in the face of new threats", was attended by 36 students from 34 countries.
The forum enabled African diplomats to gain a better understanding of France's position on security issues on the continent, and will help to maintain the friendly ties between France and its partners on the African continent.
