On Friday 22 October 2021, General de Corps d'Armée Pascal FaconGeneral Officer for the Southern Defence Zone, hosted the closing session of the 223rd International Conference on the Environment and Security in Marseille at the Château Saint-Victor.e IHEDN session in the PACA region.
The event rounded off four very productive weeks, during which the 34 auditors deepened their understanding and knowledge of defence and security issues. National, European and international defence and security issues were discussed in four areas of the PACA region: Nice, Gap, Toulon and Marseille.
The auditors visited military and industrial sites, listened to high-level lectures and worked within their committee.
They presented the results of their work to Lieutenant General and Director of the IHEDN. Benoît Durieux who then presented them with their auditor's diploma.
The sub-prefect Christian ChassaingThe Secretary General of the Southern Defence and Security Zone represented the Prefect of the PACA region, Prefect of the Southern Defence Zone.
The ceremony was an opportunity to see the strong links that have been forged within the class, and which augur well for their continued commitment to defence and security, particularly within the regional association of IHEDN auditors.
