Committees 1 and 2 were immersed in the Regiment de Marche du Tchad (RMT), stationed at Meyenheim.
25 November : Welcomed by Colonel de Sorbier, Corps Commander, and his Chief of Operations and Training, the audience took part in 24 hours of a soldier's life. Among the workshops on offer were infantry and missile firing simulators.
In the evening, a bivouac was organised around a campfire and the sharing of traditional individual combat rations, accompanied by the songs of the infantry marines.
The auditors then returned to their rooms after a night tour in night vision binoculars and an armoured infantry fighting vehicle (VBCI).
Saturday 26 NovemberIn the evening, listeners were treated to a bugle call and the raising of the colours in the parade ground at Quartier Colonel Dio.
They were then introduced to urban combat in the combat village and the porpoise nature trail.
The immersion ended with a visit to the RMT museum, where our listeners were able to discover the rich history and traditions of the Régiment de marche du Tchad.
Committees 5 and 6 visited the 27e Battalion of Alpine Chasseurs.
On this occasion, they were able to see a tactical demonstration of a combat group crossing the Grande Jeanne vertical crossing site. Afterwards, they were given a presentation on the tactical framework for implementing this vertical crossing (passage equipment, abseiling, evacuation of casualties from the wall....). Stands presenting Night Vision Binoculars and JMLR surveillance points were also set up. Finally, the day ended with a collection of rations and a meal shared around a fire, with mulled wine and songs.
The following day, listeners were able to talk to the Chief of Corps, Colonel Minguet They were also given a static presentation of equipment from the GCM (mountain commando group) in the form of 3 workshops: Intelligence acquisition; Projection: paragliding, OMGF and Action: binomial TE and GR action. Finally, the visit ended with a Tiger Raid presentation by ADC Merzougui in SVO (action in aid of the battalion's wounded).
Committees 3, 4 and 7 were received at the Centre d'appui et de préparation au combat interarmes (CAPCIA - 51st infantry regiment), in the Mourmelon and Suippes camps.
Friday 25 NovemberThe auditors were welcomed by Lieutenant-Colonel Sébastien Pecclet, head of CAPCIA -51.e RI. After a presentation of the centre's activities, they were able to watch an INF section fire training on the Symphonie complex.
The audience then had the opportunity to practise firing a MILAN (wire-guided anti-tank missile) and an ERYX (short-range anti-tank missile) on simulators, and to watch a presentation of the SICS (SCORPION Combat Information System). The dinner was held outdoors, with braziers warming up the audience, who were also able to taste the soldiers' rations.
Saturday 26 NovemberThe delegation was split into several groups. On the programme: presentation and test on the SERVAL track at Mourmelon (where the unique training and perception centre for the light multi-role armoured vehicle is located); training on the light weapons technical firing simulator (SITTAL). Finally, they were introduced to urban combat during an AIR-SOFT firing session in the Vadenay combat village.
