International Risk Management, Ethics and Compliance Cycle

From 14 to 15 March 2023, the IHEDN is organising a training course in international risk management, ethics and compliance. During 12 hours of training at the École Militaire, participants will reflect on the challenges of compliance and legal intelligence.

Opening of the 3e International Session for the Balkans and South-East Europe

On Monday 6 March 2023, Lieutenant General Benoît Durieux, Director of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Défense Nationale (IHEDN), and Mr Jérôme Bresson, Deputy Director of the Directorate for Security and Defence Cooperation (DCSD), opened the 3rd International Session for the Balkans and South-East Europe (SIB), which the IHEDN organises every two years in partnership with the DCSD.

On Tuesday 7 February 2023, the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN), in partnership with the Institut diplomatique consulaire (IDC) of the École pratique des métiers de la diplomatie (EDI), is organising a module of the joint training seminar for British and French diplomats.

After a day in Paris on the new challenges, the students in the "Maritime Challenges and Strategies" major at the IHEDN national session set sail for the Mediterranean to explore the implications for the blue economy.

After the opening of the 4th strategy module on the new challenges in the Foch amphitheatre of the École militaire by Lieutenant General Benoît Durieux, Director of the IHEDN, the listeners were plunged into the fight against information and debated with three high-level personalities involved in this new field of combat: General Aymeric de Bonnemaison (COMCYBER), Gabriel FERRIOL (VIGINUM) and Charles THEPAUT (MEAE). The audience was thus able to appreciate the major challenge of combating constantly evolving threats while respecting the individual freedom that is consubstantial with our democracy.
