After an intense year of training marked by committee work, field visits and high-level conferences, the auditors of the 4th national session of the IHEDN met on 20 June 2025 at the École Militaire for a closing day rich in exchanges, concluded by an address from the Prime Minister, François Bayrou.

From 19 to 24 May 2025, the 'Economic Defence and Security' (DSE) major of the 5th national session of the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) went on a mission to Morocco. The mission provided an opportunity to analyse relations in greater depth and strengthen Franco-Moroccan ties. It was also an opportunity for the IHEDN to meet the Collège Royal de l'Enseignement Militaire Supérieur (CREMS), a future partner.

A look back at the Mobilisation(s) conference

Organised as part of the Defence Academy of the École Militaire, in partnership with Sorbonne University and Eastern Circles, this "Mobilisation(s)" conference sets the terms for an essential public debate on a concept that is often reduced to extreme forms of conflict. However, mobilisation is not war, but a phase in which we anticipate and provide ourselves with the means to respond to a crisis that we consider to be major. Taking a multi-disciplinary and comparative approach, at a time when our strategic environment is undergoing radical change, what are the different ways of mobilising and being mobilised? By bringing together academics, witnesses of current mobilisation in Ukraine and practitioners, we can compare ideas, practices and concrete realities.

Mission Brussels: a highlight for DSE and SNC majors at the national session

On 19 and 20 March, the 'Economic Defence and Security' and 'Digital Sovereignty and Cybersecurity' majors at the 4th national session of the IHEDN took part in a key mission to Brussels, immersing themselves in the heart of European and international institutions. An intense programme, marked by exchanges on current geopolitical challenges.
